If you are currently taking any medication that affect blood clotting, such as the following:

Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Plavix, Coumadin, Warfarrin, various OTC supplements, etc., please notify our office.  These medications must typically be halted for 5-7 days prior to surgery.  This decision to halt medication must be made by your prescribing physician.  Do not cease medication unless told to do so by your physician.

Pre-operative and Post-operative prescriptions should have been either called into the pharmacy or printed and given to you prior to surgery.  Please fill these prescriptions so that you are ready to take them as directed.

You will need to return to our office 1 week after the surgical appointment.  You may also need to be seen weekly until the surgical site is considered stable.

Typically, you will be seen 1 month following surgery to evaluate the success of the procedure and then you may be placed on a regular scheduled hygiene maintenance alternating with your general dentist.
